Chad Johnson (BOS) + Michael Matheson (FLA)


Well NSH wanted a little back-up G depth for the stretch run and STL has a soft spot in his heart for Gomez and LL but the key to the deal was the addition of Beck.

I do NOT have a softspot for Gomez and LL But, Johnson was buried behind Price and Smith and hardly ever played for me, so to get a young player I really like in Taylor Beck, and some faceoff help outta Gomez (who's been taking and winning more of them recently).... Wasn't a huge fan of moving Matheson, but so it goes!

edit: oh right, and Leblanc.... well he had to be pushed on me... heheheh

Glad to see Gomez finally getting back in the game after being a healthy scratch for the better part of the last month.

Any time you can trade away Scott Gomez is a win for me! Waiver wire fodder at best.
