Buffalo receives:
Alex Stalock
Pittsburgh receives:
Viktor Stalberg Danny DeKeyser
Buffalo wanted to bolster its goaltending and I believe that Stalock could potentially be the star of this deal if things work out nicely in San Jose or he gets traded. I felt Stalberg will be a loss to my team, and DeKeyser's unproven, but Stalock could be a stud.
Thanks to Hocus for putting up with my rejections all day long.

I see what you're getting at, NYI, but I have little to zero faith that DeKeyser will develop into anything that will score points. He's mainly defensive, shutdown dman, though with good mobility, as far as I can tell. He was pursued by a lot of team, but not so he can score points.
Stalberg seems to be stuck on the 3rd line or lower, so even if he moves up to the 2nd line, I think I'll recoup value in Stalock at some point to come out even.
I agree, though, at face value it sure looks like a coup for PIT due to the (somewhat) name brand of the guys he received.
I think long term is where we'll see who wins and who loses this deal, right now it could definitely go either way.
Goalie prospects that are close to NHL-ready are always nice to have, too.

I wouldn't over analyze this trade, i think its pretty fair, Dekeyser while a very good dman, is not a big fantasy option as a wings fan ill be happy if he gets 30 points maybe 5 PP points good +/- guy though pretty solid deal if you ask me

Hey Tyler, If you're a Wings fan, you must be ecstatic to have signed him! He's definitely going to help solidify the defensive end of your rink

BUT a dman of his skill could very easily rack up points and with the way the wings look now, he could be a PP option
