Detroit trades
Chris Tanev 2013 2nd Round Supp pick (44th overall)
To Ottawa for
Jiri Hudler 2013 3rd round pick (56th overall) previously owned by PHI
Detroit agrees to this deal. We feel although young, Tanev is simply a waiver wire calibre Dman in this league format. Getting any kind of return up front is a bonus. Hudler should be able to get ideal opportunities this year due to the lack of depth in Calgary and should see PP1 time. The draft pick swap was simply done to even out the trade.

I'm with DET on this one, Hudler had a down year, but no way Tanev comes close to matching Hudler's production moving forward IMO, and it's only a 12 spot downgrade...

Ottawa confirms. I like Tanev, still alot of questions around his offensive potential but I believe he will surprise some. With the rebuild Hudler isn't necessarily someone who fits my team needs any longer.

Don't know how I missed this, but you guys need to rework this. This trade is not valid because Det's supp pick is not tradeable.

They were allowed to trade them before weren't they?

If they were ever traded, they should NOT have been! CBJ and DET were awarded those picks to improve the horrid teams they inherited. That was the sole reason they were provided the picks. * Sigh * what has been done has been done. Screw it at this point (in response to CBJ trade last year). The trade will not be revoked. Disregard my initial response.
