Now that we are into the 2011/12 season the max 3 moves a week rule is going to start being enforced so there is going to be a slight tweak in the way we post on the pro and prospect transaction threads.
Vancouver Transaction #1 for the week of 10/02/2011 to 10/08/2011
this way we can keep track of our 3 moves per week.

How are we starting?
Is it the week that our match up is on, or is it just monday-sunday kinda thing?

Hey guys, just another reminder on posting roster activity.
- Only pro transactions go in the pro transaction thread. For example if you are putting a player on the IR and calling up a prospect you would post it like this,
In the pro transaction thread: Place Joe Smith on IR.
In the prospect transaction thread: Call up Joe Blow from farm team.
You don't need to post any prospect transactions (promotions, demotions, releases etc) in the pro thread or vice versa you don't post any pro transactions (WW adds, signs, releases) in the prospect transaction thread

For DET - it should be for the week you are making transaction. A Sunday to Saturday type thing.

Ok thanks. And yes I know your first post is also for me. Didn't mean to post in both places...a smidge...baked

Well it's actually for all the GM's here, everyone seems to be posting prospect promotions/demotions in the pro thread or just making their post in both places The pro thread is just for pro transactions and the prospect thread is just for prospect transactions.

From the horses mouth:
There is a maximum of 3 waivers per week. Outside of this, you can make as many moves - FA, prospect promotion/demotion and or trades as you want. The 3 moves per week is in regard to the amount of waiver acquisitions you can make.

Got it, but then why is everyone putting a transaction # for every transaction they make (promotions/demotions,ect)? doe's this not just confuse things? Would it not be easier just to put a # if it was a Waiver Wire pick-up? and just post the transaction if not without a #.

I was thinking the same thing but now that means that everyone is going to have to change the way they post (again) and it is becoming very monotonous.
We'll see what happens, I'm not going to force another change but yes, from now on, the only transaction that needs to be counted is a WW pickup (3 a week) so if it's anything else it just has to be posted not numbered.

cool, This just a suggestion and don't want to step on any ones shoes (as I'm a newbie), but in the future maybe we could add a separate thread for the waiver wire pick up only. Might make life easier for the people policing it. Again just throwing it out there.

Not a problem, this is the first year in what looks to be an unparalleled league and we are always looking to improve on whatever we can.
If you have any ideas you think will benefit the league then by all means don't hesitate to throw them out there.
