After painfully long negotiations, Buffalo and Winnipeg have come to terms on a trade
Buffalo sends Tyler Myers+Matt Stajan+3rd rd 2014 to Winnipeg Winnipeg sends Kevin Shattenkirk+John Mitchell to Buffalo
I figured to try and again to address specific stats and Stajan adds a very respectable FOW stat and adds an average offensive output. Tyler Myers is a very young reclamation project that has had two downward trending years, 3 has to be a charm. i am willing to gamble the risk/reward on his regaining his form of 2 yrs ago. Shattenkirk is a heavy price to pay but i am gambling on Myers return to stats that rival Shatty's in his rookie season to offset the loss. Mitchell is an expendable asset to round out the deal. Buffalo, thanks for dealing with my indecision and it was truly fun. i now have a brain cramp, but it was fun! Buffalo to confirm!

I confirm this trade. This trade could backfire, but I think I've added a solid, or at least more consistent Dman in Shattenkirk. Mitchell was an addition to the deal that I may regret, but hopefully he takes a bunch of faceoffs and play solid minutes on the 4th line, or even with Mackinnon on the 3rd!!! Ok, maybe the latter part won't happen. I didn't like losing Stajan and only getting Mitchell's FOW totals, but I'm hoping Shatts make me forget about ever having Stajan. Thanks to Winnipeg...they were indeed drawn-out negotiations, but that's what happens when you're on the other side of the world from each other and one of us (Wpg) is taking three flights a day for what seemed like a week Oh, and the 3rd rounder is Chicago's...or whatever they're now named.
