Winnipeg sends Semyon Varlomov to Buffalo
Buffalo sends Michael Grabner+Alex Stalock+1st rd 2014 to Winnipeg

Winnipeg gets Stalock who will back Niemi this year and probably steal a few starts with a bright future.  Grabner will add to anemic winger situation and the 1st will keeping helping to stock the cupboards in 2014.  Varlomov is tough to lose but who knows what the situation in Colorado will be like and Fleury give me stability at the position.

Buffalo confirms this trade.

Buffalo adds a third starting goalie, solidifying the goalie corps. I feel that having a third goalie can only help me, be it in getting extra starts each week, having injury replacement,, or being able to have a valuable trade chip.

Sending Stalock and Grabner hurts the future, but Varlamov essentially replaces Stalick on my roster, while a player like Grabner could be a big hit or a big miss going forward. The first rounder is likely late, being NYR's, which is a gamble I could take.
