Philadelphia sends Dustin Brown, W, LAK to Chicago
Chicago sends Alex Petrovic, D, FLA and Mark McNeill, C/W, CHI to Philadelphia
Analysis: Clearing active roster spot(s) continues and revamping the prospect pool. D Brown should regain his offensive flare in the 2nd half and in the upcoming seasons, but he is no longer part of the long term plan in Philadelphia. Wishing him the best in Chicago.

Accept.
Currently trying to find the "right" balance between prospects and established players. With 9 picks in the first 2 rounds over the next two years, plus all the prospects I've picked up selling off veterans, I feel I can afford to let McNeill and Petrovic go. In both cases, I really don't know what to make of their NHL upside with a pool setting so heavily weighted on points. Brown has been a consistent 50 to 60 point guy up until the lock out year. While he has struggled, I figure he is worth a chance to see if he can regain his scoring touch. His new 8-year deal kicks in next year, so I'll roll the dice on him...
Thanks to Lester for very productive talks.
