that's a massive overpayment imo, Rinne is the Man in Nashville and im a big fan. I had no idea he was available either or I would have offered three times what that Minny backup is worth. Could've got one of my goalie prospects ++

It nice everybody is giving their opinion and stating they would have paid significantly to get him but put your money where your mouth is. He was listed as available and I contacted teams that had pieces I was interested in.

I don't know how anybody in this league couldn't have known Rinne was available a milli-second after Blake drafted him. A last place team with a 30 year old goal coming off a major injury. Common sense indicates he's in play. [Just like common sense indicated Lehtonen was in play for the same reason.] Anyone that wanted Rinne and did not approach Blake is just not doing their homework, in my opinion.

I wasn't trying to single you out, Kris It was meant as a general comment. Both Blake and Luke let me know Rinne and Lehtonen were on the market. I asked about both. I didn't like the prices on either, so I moved on... It just seems very obvious to me that Blake and Luke had no intention of building with Rinne and Lehtonen...
