Winnipeg sends Nick Schmaltz+Slater Koekkoek+ Brett Ritchie to Buffalo
Buffalo send Victor Arvidsson+Justin Abdelkader to Winnipeg

Confirmed. Good deal Mike. Mike didn't really want to move Ritchie, but we got it done. I was looking for pro roster flexibility this year so Abdelkader was axed and I got back three minor eligible players.
Ritchie is a similar player to Abdelkader and Abs is getting a little older (only 29, but older than Ritchie by six years) and a little slower, but still producing. I've always liked Ritchie, even if he's a little low on minutes this year.
Arvidsson is doing very well this year and is in the top line lately, so it seemed like a good opportunity to sell high, and even if he continues to produce at the same rate it's still fair.
Getting Schmaltz and Koekkoek back is nice. I trade them both earlier this year. Schmaltz has a great chance to succeed in Chicago and hopefully one day might even get to play 2nd line C, but that's likely a ways off if it ever happens (didn't rally factor into this trade, but it's there). For now, top six winger and can only improve.
Koekkoek is a solid dman and can produce decent points with good peripherals. He's getting some minutes this year and has a bright future.
