So.....Mike has been booted out of the league? The two time champion?
Seems a little harsh for picking up Radulov....maybe some discussion could have happened? Or maybe it did and we don't know about it....
But still....to be kicked out?
What happened?

Very unfortunate but I cannot comment without knowing details.
I think this now leaves Ian and myself as the last two original "2011" GM's?

I emailed Mike after I posted above, so I only know what Mike has told me via email when I asked him about it, but I don't know from the other side, like you said...

Well, as we all know, there are three sides to every story. His side, his side and the truth. Seriously though, not enough information to be jumping the gun on anything.

I am also an original.
I know some details but will let Ian tell us once a conclusion had been reached.
Don't think he is yet officially removed but we all know NSH has been very focal and rude over the years.

Don't make judgement yet, NJD....

There is nothing wrong with vocal; and "rude" is subjective - that moniker could apply to just about anyone in here.
I find this situation very alarming.

So.....Mike has been booted out of the league? The two time champion? Seems a little harsh for picking up Radulov....maybe some discussion could have happened? Or maybe it did and we don't know about it.... But still....to be kicked out? What happened? No, he has not been booted. I honestly don't feel like getting knee deep in this because it can be emotionally draining. But I know some form of explanation is needed. Mike, like many of us is a competitor. And that is a great thing for the league, but sometimes that same juice can be a bad thing if misappropriated. I do not mind discussions, votes, etc. You all know this. I strive to make this an open environment where all are free to discuss. The recent issue, I felt, was going beyond this point. Instead of a constructive discussion about his complaint, which already took place some time ago, it became a one man crusade yesterday that started to overshadow our peaceful and layed back draft. In a lot of cases, as it pertains to voting and discussions, it is a group thing where we all speak our peace. In enough cases, where things are hazy and no conclusion is found, as the commissioner, I make a decision for clarity sake. Some will like it and others will not. In the past, I have made decisions that have not been for my benefit. Others have done the same. In enough cases, I have taken note of who sacrifices and who does not. And I have even asked GMs directly to sacrifice for the league's sake. There are countless examples: STAT CHANGES: A lot of you know I had a killer team of scorers some time ago, even better than what I have now. I signed of on rule changes that likely cost me at least two championships for the better of the league, not me. I could have not done this, but I pushed the envelope for change to prove that I was willing to sacrifice for the league. DRAFT CLOCK: For ex, I had GMs like TBL and BUF tell me for years that we need to have a 12 hour draft window. Their words fell on deaf ears for some time. It took me a while, but I put the template for the league to the side along with my pride for it, and the change was made. Some GMs liked this and others, including myself, did not. My preference is 4 hours. But I'd rather keep the piece than be stubborn about what works for me personally. FODDER CYCLING: This past season, we were to discuss how to handle this endeavor. I received enough complaints about it over time. I looked at GP among the top teams, mid tier and bottom rung and saw a glaring difference in GP. Chi did some work on this. Mike, and a couple other GMs voiced great displeasure about changes. Perhaps that is why talks stagnate, I do not know. At any rate Mike tried to make this ugly and went a little too far with it, trying to make opinion fact by accusing myself and NJ as if there was some sort of conspiracy against him with cycling. If Mike did what was in the rules, that is fine. But sometimes rules need changed to improve the league. What I do not appreciate is when one only argues in their favor. I do not care how competetive any of us are. I have spoken my mantra for years: NO ONE GM IS BIGGER THANTHE LEAGUE!! I don't care how unpopular I am. I will not let anyone be bigger than the league. I have loosened up a great deal over the years and will always strive to be fair and open, but we're not going to being the entire league to a grinding halt the moment anyone doesn't like something. I have personally tried this in the past and have been met with: Can't change the rules in the middle of the season, etc. Okay, if we're playing by those rules, fine. But if this is so, we're doing it across the board, even with a defective player ruling, that has been done with, for example. In closing: I have been in plenty of league's. I have not always agreed with everyone from commish to whomever, but I respected the commish's power. I don't desire to be a dictator and have opened the floor for an open forum, but I reserve the right to close loopholes and make rulings, whether popular or unpopular. I am not perfect, but I will always strive to be open towards change and simply being wrong about a matter. It is my hope that all GMs would sacrifice for the betterment of the league. I know this is a pipe dream. But as commish, I have to hold this standard even if GMs do not. So I am in a unique position to defend the league's longevity more so than anyone else, so I'll be the good guy and the bad guy for no wages. I know who is who here guys. I know who sacrifices little and who sacrifices great. I also approach everyone with respect before taking things public. And if public, I try to handle it in a respectful manner, not accusatory or to the point that I ring the bell at a disruptive decibel. I ask that Mike learn these characteristics and look beyond his driven qualities to see that it is not the end of the world if you don't have to win EVERYTHING.

Mike = the PK Subban of our league? lol He has been very vocal over the years, and I for one like that in a GM... As for rude... Well, I've read at least one rude comment/PM from almost every GM that's gone through here, so I don't really like that description... His opinions might not have been in line with the Ole Boys Club that rules the roost here, but, neither has mine to be honest... Definitely worrisome that a two-time champ (and our present Champ) would so suddenly be out... Like others in here, I don't know the details, but it's always alarming to lose one of the league's best GMs in a, let's say, less than amicable manner.

Please read my comments above. Mike is simply disabled, not deleted. He was getting out of hand yesterday.
I have no problem with anyone expressing opinion, NONE at all. But I will not tolerate GMs going rogue. That is a sure fire way to get permanently booted. Because I like Mike and he is a good GM, he has not been booted from long ago. But sometimes, one has to reign it in. You can't continually blow it up. If I did that, I'd be sitting here talking to myself and Mike would have been banned several times now. Hell, if this was me in my early days, this would be him being tossed. But I know none of us is perfect. We all deserve room for er, but I cannot allow another to have more room because of tenure or number of banners. That is a poor reason.
I will lift his disabled account soon. But there is no rush today. He does not pick for some time. I also suspect, things need to cool a little.
