Let's discuss and iron out all questions about the daft as best we can before having it. We will not answer more than 9,876,234,965,456 question. Not one more this number.

Question #1
Where did you get the prospect F & G games played numbers? 41 and 163?

They just sounded cool. ;. No longer 163 for goalies b/c of guys like Crawford. Otherwise, it seems to take prospect goalies a while longer to develop.
ALL prospects at 41 GP, which is half off a season.
This isn't the kind of questions I had in mind, though. I'm thinking more along the lines of draft related questions.

Yeah, I was just wondering how you got those numbers.
LET'S DO THIS!

Do you get extra time if your 4 hour time is from 2-6 am? Because most people will be asleep. Does the draft freeze?

We don't have a lot time to work with, but we have to keep the 4 hour blocks intact, so we can get it done. We can stop the clock at 12am(est) and restart it at 8am(est). Worst case scenario, that should be a minimum of 4 picks a day, which would be a 10 day draft. If we were to not freeze, it would be a 7 day draft.

^ A few people have been asking about it and that seems like a good solution. That just means we're going to be even more strict(aka crabby:P) with getting your pick in.

Yeah I was wondering about that myself... I think the overnight freeze is a good idea.

Interesting freeze concept. I'm all for a Friday night to satnight freeze as well as I can't get on for 25hrs. Religious reasoning but I can submit a list so nOt needed but I find alot of gms usually are less active on Saturday. That would only really extend the draft another day.
During this freeze 12am - 8am if your around and it's your pick can you make your pick?

I would be perfectly fine with someone making a pick between these hours if they are OTC. And if you're not OTC, you can PM me a shortlist.

should we have a seperate thread for a roll call for all 20 gm's, so they can acknowledge that the draft will begin and everyone is ready and on the same page before we start?

my only question is lets make sure the scoring stats are finalized before we draft. the rest isnt as important just need to make sure that is set.
Also remember guys no trading of picks for this season. so no hold up in the 4 hour windows bc your talking trade.

to be honest, i think we are all excited to draft so hopefully if everyone is as active as adveritised, we won't have this problem... its good to have a set limit though but i would hope is isn't anything written in stone where someone misses a pick just cause they can't get to a computer.
i dont see what the real rush of doing this draft is.

^Exactly... I would rather hurry a little now and get the draft done than draft at the last minute and have no time to work my lineup... One question though, I know we're randomizing the draft order, but I was wondering if we are gonna randomize a second time for the prospect draft? It seems like a pretty big advantage for one person to have the first pick in both the pro draft and the prospect draft... If some lucky bugger happens to win both 'lotteries', then so be it, but I feel like it should be a different order at least... Thoughts?
